For everyone interested in potentially applying for The Marketing Academy below is what I ended up submitting for my first round entry.
The brief is "a 2 minute 'Showcase Me' - a physical or digital piece demonstrating why they deserve a place on the programme"
A few tips (from me and from talking to some of The Marketing Academy alumni):
Don't take yourself too seriously - your personality is as important as your achievements
Open up and let them know you, not just your work
Do a video - if you can - mine was super simple but had good lighting, some hack-job subs and some killer tunes
Hat tip - pay homage to those that inspire you
Go for engagement - this year the judges had to read about +360 entries, so make their life a bit easier by entertaining them, making it easy to read; lots of sub headings, bullet points, colours and white space
Infographics are engagement elements - I used Sydney start up darling child Canva to build mine. It's great with lots of free features.
Wrap up - go for the conversion at the end - see my 5 reasons why as an example.
